Chief Sealth Performing Arts has been a designated a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization registered with Washington State since November 1997. The CSPA officers plan department-wide activities, events, and fund raisers such as the pre-concert mixers and annual poinsettia sales.
CSPA is the umbrella group under which each of the individual ensemble booster groups operate: band, jazz band, mariachi, choir, orchestra and drama. Each of these booster groups elects their own leadership, raises money for their specific activities, and determines when and how those funds are spent. All funds are held in the CSPA bank account; the CSPA treasurer keeps separate account ledgers for each group and works closely with each of the respective booster group treasurers.
Many people choose to donate to CSPA through their workplace; employers often contribute a matching amount, doubling the benefits. These donations can be designated for the CSPA general funds or for a specific ensemble booster group.

One of the best ways parents can support the band program is by taking an active part in our music department booster organization. The Band Booster group plans fundraising and other activities to support the band program. The more parent input and support we can get, the better the program will be for our students. We hope that many parents will consider participating in the Band Booster group. Continue Reading

Other Donation Opportunities
The FundingFactory Recycling Program is FREE and simple because there’s nothing to sell, no paperwork to fill out and no deadline. The program runs year-round, accumulating constant income for our efforts. But we won’t get very far without your support. Please donate your empty printer cartridges and used cell phones to the department (there is a donation box in the band room) and we’ll take it from there! We will recycle the cartridges and cell phones through FundingFactory to earn cash for the band.
